Once all your images are in digital format, the next step is to organize them so that you can find them easily.

  2. Use ABC rating system to sort photos and reduce collection size
  3. Apply titles, tags, and keywords to make photos easy to find 
  4. Develop a plan for maintaining organization

Depending on your interest, time available, and comfort with technology, you may wish to do part or all of this work yourself.  Ink & Images can help you get started then so that you can take over, or we can work side-by-side with you throughout the process.  Or if you prefer minimal involvement, we can do the work for you, with periodic consultations as needed.

If we have not already done a half-day Discovery Session, that will likely be the place we start.  The goal of this time is to understand your goals and preferences, and work out a plan you are comfortable with.  

Every photo organizing job is custom.  Within two business days of your Discovery Session, we will provide you with a plan and a cost estimate so that you can choose how to proceed.


Backing up digital data is an important aspect of photo organizing. 

We recommend establishing a triplicate back-up system and following a plan to update your backups regularly.  

Our tech specialists can also help you set up a data back-up system for your non-photo data, using a cloud-based service and/or external hardware.
